I help my grandmother whenever I can even though I don't live near her. She was having problems with her heater and called a company that advertises on billboards throughout the city so people are familiar with that name. They quoted her nearly $7,000 for a new unit. She was ready to do it but I told her to wait and get a second opinion.
Well, thankfully, she listened and she asked me to help her find someone else to come over for another opinion. So, I called a few different companies in the area that I found online. Some were asking all kinds of ridiculous questions like "well, what did the other company quote her? Can she show us the invoice / quote?" and I remember thinking "what does that matter? Go over and give her a quote based on what YOU find." I had a feeling that they just wanted to come right under the other companies quote even if the other company highly inflated the price or wasn't honest about what needed to be done.
I was shocked as to how difficult it was just to get a 2nd opinion! I even had another company tell me that the owner was going to call me back. He called me back and wasted my time telling me how great they are and got pushy and it all made me feel like something wasn't right. I just told him I would call him back and never did. We needed a job done and didn't need all kinds of distractions because they are all playing these competitive games. It's simple... come over and give us a quote. Why they were stressing me over a basic request was beyond me! My grandmother was without heat in the winter!
THANKFULLY, the next company that I called was exactly what we needed!!!! Not only did they come without making it difficult and asking a bunch of irrelevant questions, but they said they could fix it for around $640! What a difference! From $7,000 to $640. Guess who we went with? Yup.... these guys that I just gave 5 STARS to. While we understand that her unit might need to be replaced soon (since it's about 25 yrs. old) we, like most people, don't have $7,000 just sitting around and we will try to fix things on a budget first. The other guys were like "it's old and it needs to be replaced." And since most customers aren't experts in that field, they just trust what they are told. I tend to question and get 2nd opinions because there are far too many shady companies out there.
So, we were so happy that these guys were courteous and clearly as HONEST as possible which is soooooo rare (and refreshing) in this day and age! Thank you, COACHES, for being, well..... YOU!

Had some work done to my AC through my home warranty and Coaches HVAC was very professional and did a great job. Even though it took a little longer than I hoped due to a part needing to be ordered, they were always good about keeping appointments and communication. Joe came out twice and was very professional, and completed his work as quickly as possible. One other employee had to come out and he was also very professional. I would recommend their services to anyone in the Stockton/Modesto area.

I was assigned to Coaches from my home warranty policy when our HVAC did not cool properly.Skeptical they were in Stockton and we lived in Sacramento where all the big boy HVAC companies are,but I read their reviews and was amazed by the 5 stars by so many.
Well,they deserve 10 stars trust me. Joe Warren came out to diagnosis the problem the very next day I submitted the claim. On time with a call before he got there. Professional,yet friendly,he found the issue quickly.The unit repairable,he ordered the part and the Home Warranty company covered everything. Took a week to get the part, but we understood that if the repair did not work, then a whole new HVAC unit would also be the next move...and is covered under America home warranty. BUT that is not why the 5 stars...The 5 stars are because of the way Coaches treated us. They kept in touch,told us what to expect along the way, and when Joe came back to install the part his expertise was readily obvious. His office returned my calls when needed and I felt like I was important to them. Joe even tried to sweep the area around the unit inside the house as he had a little dirt on his shoes (funny,but seriously a step above what we expected)...I called this morning to tell the sweet little office girl to tell the owner that we were exceptionally pleased with their concern for detail as the job went from the beginning to the end..Bravo, and now I know why the name of the company carries ExtraodinAir...and yes I have you on speed dial...Thanks Team Coaches....well done in my books.

I found Coaches through Yelp. I had sent an e-mail to another company and then was able to "select all" to send the inquiry to other places as well.

Coaches responded quickly and out of all the others (including the company I initially contacted), had availability the next day and was going to send someone who would understood the issues I was having with my finicky-network-challenged Honeywell Total Home Connection System.

In comes "Positive Pete". He NEVER GAVE UP. Going upstairs, downstairs, under the house - he was able to fix it all. I truly couldn't believe it. I don't think anyone else (other than the guy who installed the system who seems to refuse to deal with it anymore) could have done what he did. He was able to maneuver the network so I wouldn't have the connectivity issue that I had been having for a while. Genius.

Two years ago our AC unit went out! I am grateful that we had home insurance. Our provider sent us to Coaches HVAC. During the process, we were told it was in our best interest to not only replace our AC, but also our heater… even though there was no problem with out heater. We were skeptical. Eventually we decided to replace the AC and heater. It was the original AC/Heater from a home built in 2006.

At first our heater did not work, but we did not find this out until the following winter season, because everything was replaced going into the summer season. The AC has always been on point and it cooled our home quickly. The brand new AC was amazing! When winter hit, we went to turn on our new heater… and it would not work at all. We checked our warranty and everything had passed. We were so upset.

Instead of reaching out to our insurance, we reached out to Coaches HVAC to fix the system because they put in! This business stands behind its product and their work. I worked directly with one of the owners, who was attentive and understanding. It took a few weeks, but they got everything fine tuned and dialed in. Imagine spending thousands of dollars out of pocket, even though it was covered by insurance, and what you bought did not work. I am so grateful to the employees and the owners. They show-up when they tell you and they were respectful to us and our home. They care about their customer’s peace of mind and their product. If you are looking for a company that does great work, stands behind their product, does what they say, and cares about customer service, then you are done searching! This is it! Our AC stopped working Friday night so we put in a request for service through American Home Shield and it was dispatched to Coaches. They came out Monday afternoon and fixed our AC! Our technician, Jeffrey Stephens, was so nice and professional as well! Give that guy a bonus, he is truly awesome!!
I will for sure use Coaches for our regular routine maintenance and highly recommend them.

Scheduled Coaches for a gas furnace heating tune-up through American Home Shield home warranty. I pushed for AHS to give me options to choose from because I've had plenty of bad experiences. I was pleasantly surprised when they gave me four to choose from and I went with the one that seemed to have the best reviews on Yelp and Google: Coaches. The Technician, Stephen was a little late, but sincere in his apology (this matters to me), very friendly and made sure to spend as much time as I wanted to understand his evaluation. Even when I said I was all set, he paused once more to make sure I was satisfied. Refreshing contractor experience and I'll use their services again.

It's been great having them service my system. I had an issue with my AC that required running a new wire from upstairs down to the AC compressor. They installed it quickly and cleanly. The office staff is also very friendly, highly recommended.

I had a very pleasant expierience with this company. Infound them thru pg&e ac quality care program. This was the only company who could accomidate my hours because i needed the appointment after 5:30 pm. So they made if from 6-10. The worker showed up at 6 and was gone by 8. Now the worker a gentlemen named Pryole was one of the most humble and patient people i have ever met. When he got here i wanted to make sure we were on the same page so i sat him down and explained everything that pge said they cover. He let me do my presentation id guess u call it for 5 min or so and when i finished he was like let me show you my paper work. And it was everything i had just talked about. So Mr. Pryole not only knew what i was talking about he was patient and humble enough not to cut me off and let me finish. I was very pleased with him and his profesionalism. He took his time to explain the work and was very thorough. Thank you guys for the service and time accomidation im a very happy customer.

I've been very happy with this company. When they say they're gonna be there, they show up. When the technician arrives, they've always been very polite. Very knowledgeable to do their job well, clean up after themselves. I definitely recommend Coaches HVAC service has been impeccable. My outside unit needed a part and they had the part in stock with them and they fixed it right away. When they arrived they didn't even know what the problem was so it's nice to know that they have common parts for common problems. I recommend Coaches HVAC to everybody.
